About this app
Crynet Showcase for Android is the free companion to Crynet Showcase on your Windows PC. The PC keeps your movie and TV library; the phone puts it in your hand.
BROWSE EVERYTHING
Movies and series with artwork, down to the episode. The library is cached on the phone, so you can browse it even when the PC is off.
CAST TO THE TV
Pick a title and the PC streams it to a Chromecast, Google TV or DLNA smart TV over your home Wi-Fi. The phone becomes the remote: play, pause, skip, seek, next episode, with controls in the notification shade and on the lock screen. The video never travels through the phone.
KEEP TRACK
Mark watched, rate, and pick up where you left off with Up next and Continue watching. Everything syncs to the PC and to Trakt.
DISCOVER
Search the whole TMDb catalogue, keep a watchlist, see a calendar of upcoming episodes, get a notification when they air, and put Up next on your home screen as a widget.
EASY PAIRING
Scan the QR code on the PC's Phone page or type the 6-digit code. The app finds the PC on the Wi-Fi by itself and remembers more than one PC.
NOT A PLAYER
The phone never plays video. It is for choosing, controlling and keeping track; the TV is for watching. For the big screen, see Crynet Showcase for Android TV.
REQUIRES
Crynet Showcase for Windows running on a PC on the same Wi-Fi (free trial at crynetsolutions.com). Android 7.0 or newer.
