You transfer to Eastside High with a reputation you did not choose and one school year to replace it. Coach Reyes will give you minutes for talent and the team for trust, and those are not the same thing. There is a scout in the stands by week three, and he is not writing down goals.
Every week is five days of three slots. Class in the morning. One afternoon that has to go to training, a shift at the diner, the library, the physio or a person who asked first. One evening that belongs to whoever you give it to. Friday is the fixture, and you play it yourself.
⚽ Play the matches: compact 3v3 with a virtual stick, sprint, through balls, shot power and placement, teammate commands, and a keeper who actually saves
📋 Reyes sets an objective before kickoff and judges it whatever the score is
📉 Energy, health, grades and eligibility are real. Train exhausted and you get hurt. Drop below the line and you do not dress on Friday
🗣️ Two reputations that disagree: what the school says about you, and what the people who actually know you think
📱 Rumors spread, decay and cost you every week you ignore them, and denying a false one publicly makes it worse
🎽 Boots and skills trade one attribute against another. Nothing in the game is for sale
👥 Malik, Leo, Dani, Sofia, Reyes and your mother all keep their own count of you
🏆 Five acts, a recap at the end of each, and an ending that depends on who you kept
The scouting report is the spine of it. Marcus Vale weighs teamwork, discipline, academics, composure and consistency far above output, and he tells you so. A striker with twenty goals and no teammates, no grades and a live rumor does not get the offer. The report shows you its own arithmetic and names the one thing to fix first.
