About this app

🎶 MuseLead – Expressive Synth & MPE MIDI Controller for Android 🎶

Turn your phone into a real instrument. MuseLead lets you play synth leads, chords, bass lines, and melodies with a responsive multi-touch surface built for expression.

Slide between notes, shape vibrato, play with multiple fingers at once, and control your sound in ways a standard mobile keyboard can’t. Whether you want to jam, sketch ideas, practice, or control your synths over MIDI, MuseLead makes music creation feel immediate and alive.

If you enjoy expressive sliding-keyboard apps such as GeoShred or MorphWiz, MuseLead offers a similar level of control, capturing the signature ability to blend the precision of a keyboard with the soulful expression of a string instrument. Focused on MPE, microtonal scales and analog-style synthesis.

🎹 Expressive Synth – play leads, chords, bass, and melodies on a touch instrument that feels musical.
🎛 MPE MIDI Controller – connect to DAWs, hardware synths, and virtual instruments with expressive per-note control.
🎼 Scales & Layouts – play in any key and explore layouts that fit your style.
🎵 Chords & Arpeggiator – build progressions, jam faster, and discover new ideas.
📼 Record Audio – capture riffs, sketches, and practice sessions instantly.
🎨 Customizable Instrument – adjust layout and controls to match the way you play.

MuseLead isn’t a DAW. It’s a real instrument for musicians, producers, and synth players who want more expression than a typical keyboard app.

Last update again broke everything. Sine wave in MSynth is not sounding as sine. The attack parameter is not working for Flute. Also the quality of instruments like Veena have changed, it's not sounding good as before. Also some random notes are getting played unexpectedly especially while sliding.

Hi, thank you for the detailed feedback. You're right about the sine wave, we were experimenting with a sine that adds harmonics for a better sound on phone speakers. But it affected the pure sine. We reworked the oscillator for the next update. It now keeps a pure sine and the enhancement is only applied at low-frequency in a more subtle way.

Fantastic app. With my S25 there is no latency, and the range of sounds is excellent. I play with it all the time, and I feel like my musicality is improving just from messing about. I've set up the layout to mimic a guitar, so my fretboard logic is improving. The developers update the app frequently, adding new sounds and even features like the ability to create alternate tunings. It's exciting to open the app and see there's an update. I'd like the ability to delete custom tunings, though.

After recent update, midi output is misbehaving. Each row is sending midi out to different channels

Hi Pushkar, thank you for your review. To fix this, click on the "FX" button and open Midi Controller instrument settings. Disable multi channel and that should get all your rows sending MIDI back to a single channel as expected. Let me know if that resolves it or if you're still seeing the issue after toggling that setting.
