About this app

Time every solve. Track every average. Beat every best.

Cubench is a cube timer and scramble generator for speedcubers — generate WCA-style scrambles, record your times, and watch your progress with detailed stats, averages and graphs, for every puzzle you practice.

Whether you're learning your first cross or chasing a sub-10 Ao5, Cubench keeps your times, sessions and averages organized so you can actually see yourself improve.

FEATURES

• Scramble generator for every WCA puzzle: 2x2, 3x3, 4x4, 5x5, 6x6, 7x7, Megaminx, Pyraminx, Skewb, Square-1, FTO and Rubik's Clock
• Random-state scrambles for 3x3, 2x2, Square-1, Pyraminx and FTO
• Full statistics: best time, Ao5, Ao12, Ao50, Ao100, mean and more
• Sessions to group and compare your solves
• Graphs to visualize your progression over time
• Custom solve types — keep separate histories for the same puzzle
• Multi-step timer to break a solve into stages and analyze each phase
• Special scramble types for F2L, last layer and PLL practice
• Blindfolded mode with blind-specific stats: success rate, Mo3, best/last average and average of successes
• Import and export your times (CSV)
• Clean, distraction-free timer — tap anywhere to start and stop
• Free, open source, no ads

Cubench works great for beginners keeping their first times and for advanced cubers training for WCA competitions. Download it, scramble, and start shaving off those milliseconds.

Old review: 4 stars - This is undoubtedly one of the best cube timers for Android, but I think many features present in the paid version should be present in the free one as well... For example import/export of solves, manually adding time, etc... New review: Import/Export, manual adds are all now present for free users :)

Easily my favourite cube timer app, but the most recent update has been a tiny bit annoying... the 'new record' banner pops up covering the scramble so I have to wait a few seconds before starting the next scramble. Please make a toggle button to turn this off! (especially slows things down when you're in a new session and basically every solve is a record) thanks :)

Hey, check out the newest update where I move this field down and added an option to hide it!

I tried a few timers and this was easily my favorite. Ended up paying for the pro version on order to get the solve time graphs and trends. I especially enjoy that it has an option for last layer only or even PLL only scrambles which helped me practice my OLL and PLL algorithms since I'm still pretty much a beginner (1:40 average for solves). You can also keep track of separate times for one-handed solves, 2x2, 4x4, etc if you enjoy those.

What’s new

• The record panel no longer covers the scramble
• New setting for when the record panel appears: any record, only a new PB, or never
• New "Last solve" menu on the timer screen, with the solve details, comments and sharing
• Fixed the timer digits shifting while timing on some devices
• Megaminx scrambles no longer end with an empty line
• Export can now save your history straight to a file, and sharing works with more apps
• Refreshed popups and dropdowns
