About this app

This is a retrofitted version of the original Mixed Chinese Keyboard created by Miles Leung.

Since the original version is already outdated and deprecated in Android 11 or above, there are various bugs in the original version.

Although it is based on the original version 0.5.2, there are some significant changes to match the current design of Android OS. For example, haptic feedback is used instead of the vibrate effect for keypress.

It's great that you have brought this keyboard back to live. Really appreciate it. But I have noticed a few bugs in here still need fixing. Some of the Chinese words after being chosen never stay in the front so every time I need to dig deep to find again. If I type "what" 什麼 would be at the back and after chosen it . It never turn purple and stay in the front. It's it also possible that user can edit their own word candidates? There are some words the eng-chi translation are missing.

Thanks for your support and sorry for those issues caused. 1. Some of the Chinese words after being chosen never stay in the front. -> Yes. It is confirmed as a bug and will fix. 2. user can edit their own word candidates; some words the eng-chi translation are missing. -> Thanks for your suggestion. Will consider.

Say I've installed multiple input keyboards such as Mixed Chinese, Gboard, Voice ...etc. On pre-Android 12 phones, there is an keyboard icon at the lower right corner that allows switching between different keyboards. If Mixed Chinese is the default keyboard, this option seems to be missing. However, if default is other keyboard say GBoard, the switching keyboard icon is visible but Mixed Chinese Keyboard is not shown as a selectable item. Wonder if this can be corrected. Much appreciated.

Good keyboard. Fast and responsive. I wish it had more customization though. The ability to remove the arrow keys while in landscape mode would be wonderful.
