Meshline is a private nearby messenger that works over Bluetooth Low Energy.

Create a local identity and talk to people around you without a phone number, email address, cloud account, or internet message service.

Start conversations through mutual contact requests and keep control of who can reach you. Direct chats use authenticated encryption, while clear delivery states tell you whether a message is queued, relayed, delivered, read, or needs another try.

Meshline includes:

• Accountless identity generated on your phone
• Consent-first nearby discovery and contact requests
• Encrypted one-to-one text messaging
• Replies, reactions, receipts, and direct typing indicators
• Store-and-forward delivery when nearby connections return
• Blocking controls and an emergency local erase
• No advertising or automatic message telemetry

Android shows a persistent notification while background nearby availability is active. Bluetooth range, phone power controls, radio conditions, and device suspension can delay delivery.

Meshline is not an emergency service and should not be your only way to request urgent help.
