HOW IT WORKS

2. View estimated trip fare, ETA, driver and vehicle info
3. Book your ride now or schedule in advance
4. Pay through the app (Apple Pay, Google Pay, credit/debit cards) or use in-vehicle terminals
5. Receive an emailed receipt at the end of each trip for simple bookkeeping

Ratings and reviews

Very unreliable service. I've tried 4 different times to book with Current Taxi, and all 4 times my bookings have been canceled. I tried once over the phone, and it got canceled within 10 minutes. Then I tried twice over the app, and both times it got canceled. The last time I tried to reserve ahead of time thinking my other attempts were due to them being busy. Even reserving hours in advance, they canceled my reservation. I had to use Kelowna Yellow Cabs. I recommend any other taxi service.

Current reached out to me after my last review, so I tried them again. I submitted an advance booking that was confirmed immediately. No driver was ever assigned, so I called 5 mins after the scheduled time to find out if a cab was coming. They were still 30+ minutes away, so I had to cancel. The Teslas continue to be a solid looking product, but Current can't offer service to match the fancy cars. If you need to be somewhere on time, call Kelowna Cabs (who have the exact same app, btw)

I love Current Taxi most trips. Now and then a glitch with miscommunication or wait times can be really bad! The new phone system seems good. I've now got a few favorite drivers. Jeanine, Dylan and Alain in particular. It's hard to find the Pay the Driver option and even when it's toggled on it's hard to tell that it's on. I want it on all the time.
