As everything else is with Marta- Idk who thought an "Emergency/911 app" is a good, practical idea; but obviously it didn't occur to them that using ANY sort of App while on a marta train is already "iffy" at best. A large stretch of marta's rail systems are under ground. If an emergency were to occur, there's no way Marta PD could be notified in time due to the lack of cellular service under ground- inside a concrete tunnel...

Ive reported several things but never see MARTA police. I occassionally see police walking by not engaging onvious problems. I rarely see any police presence on the trains at all. This app only would work if theres follow up. Seems like a good idea but the field execution sucks.

Marta is very unprofessional. The only time you see Marta police "doing" anything is when they are harassing the homeless people in the train to wake up. But then again it's not just homeless people they harass. Close your eyes on a trip towards the airport and you too may be harassed. You may even be asked for your id for no reason. Happened to me when I was going to the airport on a trip to Benin. The people they hire seem to lack interpersonal skills on the highest levels.
