Stay Safe at RIC
RIC Safe is the official safety app of Rhode Island College. Integrated directly with RIC Campus Police systems, the app provides students, faculty, and staff with added safety on campus.
Key Features Include:
Panic Button / Mobile Bluelight: Instantly send your location to RIC Campus Police in real-time during a crisis.
Virtual WalkHome: Let Campus Security dispatchers monitor your walk from start to finish. If you feel unsafe, we’ve got eyes on you until you’re home.
Friend Walk: Not on campus? Send your location to a friend via SMS so they can watch you reach your destination in real-time.
Tip Reporting: Report safety concerns or suspicious activity directly to the right department with ease.
Emergency Plans: Instant access to campus procedures for disasters or medical emergencies.
Safety Notifications: Get real-time alerts and instructions from RIC Campus Police during active on-campus emergencies.
Support Resources: A one-stop shop for campus maps, mental health resources, and "I'm OK!" check-ins for friends and family.
