About this app

Coordi is an offline field toolkit for astronomy, navigation and photography: Sun and Moon ephemeris, a century of solar and lunar eclipses, MGRS and UTM coordinates, geodesic route measurement, a GPS speedometer, and an optics calculator for astrophotography. Everything is computed on your device — no connection, no account, no ads.

SUN, MOON AND EPHEMERIS
• Tonight at a glance: clear, partly cloudy or overcast, the average cloud cover, and the hours of real astronomical darkness.
• Sunrise, sunset and day length for any place and any date, on an interactive Sun-path arc with a live marker for the current moment.
• Civil, nautical and astronomical twilight, from first light to last light, with the stages that never arrive at your latitude simply left out.
• Moon phase and illumination, moonrise and moonset, and the Moon's distance in kilometers or miles.
• The Sun and Moon zodiac sign.
• Time travel: step to any date, a week ahead or a century back, and every reading recalculates.
• Optional 7-day weather forecast for your saved locations.

A CENTURY OF ECLIPSES
• Every solar and lunar eclipse of the current century, 2000 to 2099.
• Contact times — first contact, maximum, last contact — in the location's own time zone.
• Local visibility filter: show only the eclipses visible from where you are, or show them all.
• Eclipse magnitude for each event, and the type you will actually see from your location, which is not always the type the eclipse is for the planet.

MGRS, UTM AND GEODESY
• Any point in MGRS — grid zone, 100 km digraph, easting and northing — and in UTM.
• WGS-84 distances from Vincenty's inverse formula.
• Offline search across 42,900 world cities.

ROUTE RULER AND FUEL COST
• Multi-stop routes: drop several pins and measure the whole journey.
• Distance and initial bearing for every leg, total distance, direct line distance, and the detour ratio between them.
• Fuel calculator: volume and trip cost from your consumption — L/100 km, km/L, MPG US or MPG imperial — and the price you pay.

GPS SPEEDOMETER AND TRIP ODOMETER
• Current and calculated speed in km/h, mph or m/s.
• Distance travelled along your path, direct distance from the start, altitude, and elevation change.
• A trip timer that keeps counting past 24 hours instead of restarting.
• Keeps recording with the screen off.

OPTICS AND ASTROPHOTOGRAPHY
• Depth of field: hyperfocal distance, near and far limits, and how much of it falls in front of and behind your subject.
• Field of view: horizontal, vertical and diagonal angles, and the real coverage at your subject distance.
• Star trails: the longest exposure before stars trail, by both the 500 rule and the NPF rule, from your camera's own pixel pitch.
• Sensor presets for full frame, APS-C, Canon APS-C, Micro 4/3, 1 inch and medium format, plus a library of camera bodies.

• Real time zones: every time shown is the local time of the place you are looking at, daylight saving included.
• Works offline — only the optional weather forecast needs a connection.

• Five themes: Ocean and Blossom are light, Midnight and Ember are dark, and System follows your device.
