CutMyShorts splits a long video into short, ready-to-post clips, and it places every cut in a natural pause in the speech rather than at a fixed interval.

Made by a creator who makes shorts every day, to take the slow, repetitive part out of cutting them.

Cuts at the pauses

Most splitters cut on a timer, so clips begin or end halfway through a word. CutMyShorts listens to the audio, finds the pauses between sentences, and plans all of the cuts across the whole video together, so the clips come out around 30 seconds long and still end where a sentence ends.

Adjust any clip

Tap a clip to preview it. The sound wave is drawn under the timeline with the pauses marked, and the start and end handles snap onto them as you drag. Fine-tune either end in 100 ms steps.

Vertical, with faces in frame

Landscape videos are cropped to vertical, with the frame placed to keep the speaker's face in view. Videos that are already vertical are cut without re-encoding, so the picture quality is unchanged.

On your phone only

Your video is processed on the device and never uploaded. There is no account and no sign-in, and the app works in airplane mode. Finished clips are saved to your gallery.
