About this app

OfficeGuard Unlock helps you remove supported protection from Excel, Word, and PDF files you own, without ever sending your data online.

Select a supported file and the app analyzes protection before creating a local working copy. It supports legacy .xls, modern .xlsx / .xlsm, Word .doc / .docx, and PDF files. If a known opening or owner password is required, enter it to save an authorized copy without that security setting. Saved copies remain local with _unlocked in the file name.

The app detects whether a file is unprotected, restricted only, encrypted, or encrypted and restricted. It asks for a password only when analysis or export requires one.

FORGOT PASSWORD ASSISTANT
If you forgot an opening password on your own file, the optional assistant helps you recover it using your personal clues — project names, dates, partial patterns, and optional word lists. Everything runs 100% on your device. No cloud, no account, no upload.
