About this app
Lethe inspects the apps installed on your Android device and tells you which
tracker SDKs are actually compiled into them.
Most privacy tools rely on what an app's developer declares. Lethe reads the
app's own code.
HOW IT WORKS
Lethe parses each installed app's DEX bytecode directly on your device and
matches the class names against a registry of known tracker signatures —
advertising networks, analytics platforms, attribution SDKs and profiling
libraries. It then combines that finding with the app's declared permissions
to produce a risk score.
The analysis runs locally. Raw APK content and extracted class names never
leave your phone.
WHAT YOU SEE
- A ranked list of every app on your device by risk score
- The specific tracker SDKs found inside each app
- Which companies those trackers report to, and which are linked to data
brokers
- The permissions each app declares, alongside what its code actually
contains
- A device-wide summary: apps scanned, tracker installs, distinct companies
NO ACCOUNT, NO ADS, NO TRACKING
Lethe has no sign-up and no login. It contains no advertising SDKs, no
analytics SDKs and no crash reporting. It does not collect your name, email,
location, advertising ID or device identifier.
Scoring requests are processed statelessly in memory on our server and are
never written to disk.
WHY QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES
Lethe requests the QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES permission because enumerating your
installed apps is the core function of the product — there is no way to
analyse the apps on your device without first listing them.
TRACKER DATA
Tracker signature data includes material from Exodus Privacy, licensed under
the ODbL.
