CycleSync is a free app that keeps dozens of independent speakers playing the same song at the same instant across a whole ride; no perceptible latency between speakers, and no need for anyone to stay in range or in line of sight. Every rider's phone uses GPS as a highly precise shared time reference, so playback stays in lockstep whether you're side by side or spread across a mile of road.
Instead of a dozen speakers fighting each other, the whole ride moves like a rolling nightclub. One wall of sound from the front of the ride to the back.
WORKS WITH ANY SPEAKER
Brand-agnostic: any speaker with an aux / line-in plays as one: JBL, Soundboks, homemade rigs, all together. Plug your phone into your speaker, join the room, and you're part of the wall of sound.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
- Host a room and share a short code — everyone else joins in seconds
- Queue a playlist ahead of time so it's ready before you roll out
- Make announcements that play over the music, everywhere at the same moment
- Ride as a listener with nothing to set up except joining the room!
NO EXTRA HARDWARE
On Android, the app syncs entirely on its own. Just your phone, your speaker, and if needed a USB-C audio dongle. Free, and no account required to ride along.
MADE FOR
Group rides, bike parties, parades, festivals, and sound-system crews. Anyone who wants a scattered string of speakers to play as one.
PRIVACY
CycleSync doesn't track you, show ads, or sell your data. GPS is used only as a shared timing reference, never to map or track your location. You're location data never leaves your device. Full policy: https://cyclesync.us/privacy
