About this app

Welcome to Pekbok for children.

A children's game for children 1-5 years.

Choose from a dozen categories where children of different ages can learn in a fun way.

For the smallest, there is the textbook, where the children can browse the pictures in the selected category and listen to how they sound and what the picture represents.

For them a little bigger, there is Guess what for each category, where the child is met by 2-4 pictures where a voice asks what a certain picture is. If the child points to the correct picture, the picture is enlarged and a voice says what the picture represents. After that comes 2-4 new pictures where the child gets a new question.

If you want to start training the child in letters, there is the possibility to play Guess what with spelling. After the child has chosen the right picture, the picture is enlarged and a voice says what the picture represents. After that, the voice letters the word and the letters appear on the screen as the voice letters. Finally, the whole word is repeated and after that 2-4 new pictures are added.

If you want to start training the child on phonology (long and short vowels as well as hard and soft consonants) then there is the possibility to play Guess what with language sounds. After the child has chosen the right picture, the picture is enlarged and a voice says what the picture represents. After that, the word is heard by the voice and the letters appear individually or in pairs where the phonology rules. Finally, the whole word is repeated and after that 2-4 new pictures are added.

The app is entirely in Swedish with a clear interface to suit children. Most objects have more than one image and sound to keep the interest alive. You can easily customize what your child will learn in settings.
