About this app

LogMyGPS is a GPS logger and GPX track recorder for Android. Record a route, keep recording in the background and save your GPS track as a standard GPX file that works with many other apps and tools. No LogMyGPS account or compulsory cloud is required: your track files stay stored locally and under your control.

A clear record from start to finish

While recording, see distance, duration and altitude. Stop when the journey is complete, then find the track in your history. Rename, share or delete files, organise them in custom subfolders, and safely recover an interrupted session. LogMyGPS can continue recording in the background when the necessary Android permissions have been granted.

Files designed to be useful elsewhere

GPX recording and export are available in the free version. GPX lets you retain a portable copy of your route and open it in many compatible apps and services. Premium adds KML, CSV and TCX exports, so you can select the format that suits your archive, analysis or next app without locking the data into a proprietary service.

Your data belongs to you

GPS recording can work without an internet connection. OpenStreetMap map views do need a connection to download map tiles, and a Premium purchase uses Google Play services.

Free features include GPS recording, GPX, track history, file management and sharing, safe recovery of an interrupted session, and custom subfolders.

Premium is a one-off purchase with no subscription. It adds KML, CSV and TCX, live and saved-track maps, continuation of a completed track, time-based recording, advanced recording thresholds and a custom filename prefix.
