Fretlog is a focused practice companion for guitarists and bassists who want to keep short rehearsal passages visible and organized. The app turns your practice notes into colored tape tabs placed across a virtual guitar neck, so each saved Rehearsal Tab shows the song, tempo, and minutes at a glance. From the Fretboard screen, you can see all your saved tabs positioned along the strings and frets, making it easy to remember what you were working on. The Add Tab screen provides a simple capture form where you enter the song or piece name, target tempo in BPM, minutes spent, and a short focus note about what to improve next. You can save a new tab or cancel the entry without leaving clutter in your log. Every saved tab can be opened later, edited with updated details, or deleted when a passage no longer needs attention. The Logbook screen keeps a searchable chronological list of all your rehearsal tabs, with song, tempo, minutes, and focus notes available from each row. Use the search field to filter the list by song name only, which helps you quickly locate a specific tune during a rehearsal break. The Trouble Spots screen collects tabs that are flagged as needing work, showing the focus note, song, and minutes so you can decide what to revisit first. On the dashboard, three small counters in the headstock area summarize your total rehearsal tabs, total practice minutes, and number of trouble-spot tabs. A recent tab strip also shows the four most recently saved tabs, and tapping any recent tab opens the edit view for fast adjustments. All rehearsal data is stored locally on your device, so the app works offline and keeps your practice notes private without requiring an account. Fretlog is built for practical rehearsal use, helping you spend less time hunting for notes and more time playing the passages that matter.
