Not a vocabulary book for exams, but one for use in the moment.

Most English vocabulary books are sorted by frequency or grade level. Daneoyo is sorted by **situation**. This is so that words come to mind in the very moment you actually need to speak English—meetings, travel, cafes, interviews. The key is not to memorize words as memorized words, but to remember them along with the context in which they will be used.

**5 Minutes Before a Meeting** — When you have a presentation or an English meeting scheduled for today. As you flip through the Meeting category cards one by one, words like align, deliverable, and stakeholder will catch your eye. You don't have to pretend you don't know them.

**Waiting to board a plane** — 30 minutes at the airport gate. If you browse the Travel category, words like itinerary, customs, and layover connect to real-life situations. It works perfectly without internet access.

**Morning of an interview** — Just 10 minutes for a nervous morning. Flip through the 30 words in the Interview category on cards and read out words like strengths, leverage, and fit aloud. Korean pronunciation is provided without phonetic symbols.

## Examples of words for 6 situations

**Meeting** — align, deliverable, escalate, stakeholder, takeaway. You will be able to actually use sentences like "Can we align on the deliverables before Friday?" **Travel** — itinerary, layover, currency, customs, accommodation. These are words you can immediately use for travel check-ins, at airports, and at hotels.

**Cafe** — flat white, oat milk, to-go, refill, tab. From ordering to payment, learn how to use English at a cafe without getting flustered.

**Daily** — catch up, hang out, no worries, laid back, run errands. Expressions you can use naturally in everyday conversations with foreign friends.

**Email** — circle back, follow up, attached, regards, looking forward. Make business emails even more natural.

**Interview** — strengths, leverage, accomplishment, role, fit. Expressions used like "I'd like to leverage my strengths in this role."

## Why is it free?

Daedaeyo is a free app. There are no subscriptions or accounts. It includes ads, but you can remove them via an in-app purchase if you prefer to use it without ads.

This app is a side project created with the single purpose of "lightly learning English words for real-life situations." We are distributing it for free with the hope that you can use it without pressure and find it helpful.

Ad removal option — Ads are included, and you can turn them off via an in-app purchase.

Offline learning — All word data is stored within the app, so word learning works even without an internet connection.

No account — Use immediately without signing up.

## How were the words selected?

They were curated directly during ChatGPT Plus sessions. For each of the six scenarios, we selected "words likely to be actually used in that scene." We selected them based on usage context rather than frequently tested words. The selected words are stored within the app in JSON format and are not retrieved from a server while the app is running. Therefore, it works completely offline.

## Personal Information Processing Method (Transparent Disclosure)

Wordyo does not require an account, and since all word data is pre-loaded within the app, word learning operates offline. The app includes advertisements, so some data, such as ad identifiers, may be processed during the ad delivery process. If you wish to use the app without ads, you can remove them via an in-app purchase. Please refer to the Privacy Policy below for details on the processing method.

This is a side project by solo app developer Kang Daejong. It was built using Flutter. Word seeds are curated directly within a ChatGPT Plus session and inserted into the app as JSON — 0 runtime LLM calls.
