Shows the daily Bible verse of https://dailyverses.net. The app can also work offline, in that case it will show a verse from the archive.

The Bible verses are available in these english translations:

- English Standard Version (ESV)
- King James Version (KJV)
- New American Standard Bible 2020 (NASB)
- New Catholic Bible (NCB)
- New International Version (NIV)
- New King James Version (NKJV)
- New Living Translation (NLT)
- New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)
- World English Bible (WEB)

In the settings you can configure your daily notification.

Earlier verses are available in the app by swiping left or right.

Contains a widget for showing the daily Bible verse on your home screen.

This app works great! It does exactly what it claims to do! It's free, and I have experienced no issues whatsoever with ads of any sort! One can make a donation to the developer/publisher if desired, and I encourage doing this. I use this app to put a 'Bible Verse of the Day' widget on my Lockscreen. You get to choose which bible translation is used, and the time of day that the verse updates itself.

EDIT: The developer responded so quickly that i decided to give it another try, this time examining my device closer. Anyone having issues with no widgets showing as even an option to choose in the first place - make sure the app was installed to internal memory and not external. After actually being able to select the widget and try it, i like this app better than my previous favorite "verse of the day" widget app which has become a little wonky over the years. This one is very nice!

I need a daily verse app because I switched from YouVersion to Bible Gateway, which doesn't have a widget. I'm liking this one so far, for the most part. The one thing I'd change would be to make it so the push notifications show the actual verses, instead of just displaying the date and making you click on it (which makes it go away) to see the verse at all, in the app. I really liked that element of the YouVersion widget and I miss it with this one. Still the best verse app I've tried though!
