Shows the daily Bible verse of https://dailyverses.net. The app can also work offline, in that case it will show a verse from the archive.

The Bible verses are available in these english translations:

- English Standard Version (ESV)
- King James Version (KJV)
- New American Standard Bible 2020 (NASB)
- New Catholic Bible (NCB)
- New International Version (NIV)
- New King James Version (NKJV)
- New Living Translation (NLT)
- New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)
- World English Bible (WEB)

In the settings you can configure your daily notification.

Earlier verses are available in the app by swiping left or right.

EDIT: The developer responded so quickly that i decided to give it another try, this time examining my device closer. Anyone having issues with no widgets showing as even an option to choose in the first place - make sure the app was installed to internal memory and not external. After actually being able to select the widget and try it, i like this app better than my previous favorite "verse of the day" widget app which has become a little wonky over the years. This one is very nice!

Nothing fancy but does what it's suppose to, with the added bonus of being ad-free and private. No intrusive popups, in-app purchases, or otherwise unecassary features. Allows for changing translations, viewing previous verses, and setting a time for notifications. Be sure to use the widget too for a nice reminder every time you unlock your device. Also has a website you can use for your other devices. Only nitpick would be the outdated UI, but who cares, worth the free download regardless.
