About this app

iBarragem is a free and independent application for monitoring the water levels of dams and reservoirs in Brazil, combining public data from the National Water and Sanitation Agency (ANA) and readings submitted by a community of volunteer agents.

iBarragem is an independent, non-profit project. It has NO affiliation, endorsement, sponsorship, or any connection with the Brazilian government, the National Water and Sanitation Agency (ANA), or any other public body. The app does not represent a government entity and does not provide public services. All government data displayed is obtained from public open data portals, with attribution to the original source.

The water level readings, volume, and photos published in the app are voluntary contributions from the community, are not official government data, and may vary in frequency depending on the reservoir.

WHO IT IS FOR
• Residents of cities supplied by reservoirs who want to monitor the level of their dam.

• Rural producers, fishermen, riverside dwellers, and water managers who depend on the stored volume.

• Students, researchers, and journalists who need quick access to public dam data.

• Technical teams that monitor critical levels during periods of drought or flood.

MAIN FEATURES
• National catalog of dams based on the ANA's public registry.

• Filter by state and city. • Details of each dam: current level, volume, percentage of filling, daily variation, location on the map, total capacity, and reading history.

• Graphs of level, volume, and percentage over time.

• Gallery of photos submitted by agents for each reading.

• Weather forecast for the city where the dam is located, to correlate rainfall and volume variations.

AGENT AREA
Those who register readings have an authenticated area where they can track dams, receive notifications, register readings with level, volume, observations, and up to three photos, and edit or remove their own readings. Registration is free and requires simple approval.

PRIVACY AND SECURITY
iBarragem complies with the LGPD (Law 13.709/2018):
• You can use the app without creating an account to consult public data.

• Location is only requested to show nearby dams and can be denied at any time.

• You can delete your account within the app, in Profile, or through the public account deletion page.

• Your readings and photos remain as a public technical record, but the link to your identity is removed if you delete the account.

• All communication with the server uses HTTPS.

FREE AND AD-FREE
iBarragem is completely free, does not display ads, does not sell data, and has no in-app purchases.
