About this app

Dana is a shared pet care app for dogs and cats, made for homes where more than one person helps: family, a dog walker or a sitter. Everyone works from the same routine, and Dana AI answers the questions that come up between vet visits.

Dana AI: symptom checker and questions
Dana AI opens with three choices: "I'm worried", "Can they eat this?" and "Just ask". "I'm worried" is a symptom checker for dogs and cats. Describe what you noticed. Using your pet's species and age, Dana AI answers with one of three next steps: monitor at home, call your vet today or get emergency care now. "Just ask" answers everyday questions based on your pet's own details, such as medications, vaccine due dates and the last week of logs.

A food scanner for dogs and cats
"Can they eat this?" opens the pet food scanner. Photograph a food, a treat or an ingredients label and pick the pets it is for. Each pet gets its own verdict (Safe, With care, Not safe or Not sure) with how much, how often, how to serve it, the risks and what to watch for. The scanner always marks known toxic foods Not safe, and every Not safe verdict shows poison-control guidance. Dana AI, including the food scanner, gives general guidance. It is not a diagnosis and does not replace your vet.

Shared care with family and sitters
Invite family, a dog walker or a sitter to each pet. Adding caregivers is free. Give each person a role: Caregiver for full day-to-day care, or Limited (Sitter mode), which shows tasks only by default. A sitter's access can end automatically after a day you choose. Every entry shows who logged it and when, so nobody has to ask whether the dog was fed. When someone else logs care or finishes a task, your phone tells you who did what.

Every dog and cat in the house
Each pet you add, from a new puppy or kitten to a senior pet, gets its own tasks, reminders and history, with a routine that fits its species: litter for cats, walks and outdoor breaks for dogs. One overview shows them all, and one photo in the scanner can answer for several pets.

Pet health records
Track weight and see the trend. Keep vaccines, medications, the microchip number and your vet's details together. The health page opens with what a vet usually asks first, and each pet gets a monthly report in its timeline.

Records Vault with Dana Pro
Keep vet documents, lab results and vaccine certificates in the Records Vault, encrypted in the cloud. Share a document through a private link with an access code, and choose when the link expires.

Daily logs and reminders
Log meals, water, treats, bathroom breaks, litter, walks, medication and notes in a few taps, and undo a wrong entry within a short window. Set medication, vaccine, feeding and walk reminders, one-off or repeating, with quiet hours.

Dog walks on a map
Dana uses your location to draw your route and show your walk on the map. While a walk is running, Dana keeps collecting your location even when the app is closed or not in use. Walk several dogs at once, and pin a pee, a poop, water or a treat to the route as you log it.

Streaks and widgets
Daily care builds a care streak with milestones, and a freeze covers a missed day. Home screen widgets show the streak and whether today's care is done.

Free, and what Dana Pro adds
Daily care, shared care, reminders, walks, health records and the streak are free for all your dogs and cats, and every account can try Dana AI and the food scanner a few times. Dana Pro adds the Records Vault, a larger Dana AI allowance that renews every day (for symptom checks, questions and food scans), photos and follow-up questions on checks, deeper detail on every result and more streak freezes.
