About this app

Somebody paid for dinner, somebody else paid for the taxi, and nobody wants to do the arithmetic. List Split does it - and then tells you the shortest list of payments that clears the whole group.

Make a group, add the people in it, log what each person paid, and the balances update as you type. When it is time to settle, the app works out who pays whom in the fewest possible transfers - not "you owe four people", just one payment each, and everyone is square.

★ THE MATHS IS THE POINT
• Splits that actually add up: 10.00 three ways is 3.34 / 3.33 / 3.33, never 9.99 and never 10.01
• Split equally, by exact amounts, by shares, or by percentage
• A live preview shows what every person owes before you save - including who takes the odd cent, and why
• Percentages have to total 100 and exact amounts have to match the bill; the app says so instead of silently rounding
• Currencies with no decimals (rupiah, yen, won) and three decimals (dinar) are handled properly, not squeezed into cents

★ SETTLE UP IN THE FEWEST PAYMENTS
• The settlement is minimised, not just "everyone pays the person who paid"
• Every suggested payment clears exactly - the numbers always land on zero
• Tap "Record as paid" and it goes into the expense list, so the history stays honest
• Balances per person: what they paid, what they owe, and the difference

★ BUILT FOR REAL GROUPS
• Any number of people, no invitations and no accounts - a member is just a name you typed
• Somebody was not at that dinner? Leave them off that one expense
• Edit or delete any expense; every balance recalculates instantly, because nothing is cached

List Split needs an internet connection only to show ads. Creating groups, logging expenses, every split mode, the balances, the settlement, export and import all work in airplane mode.

List Split is a calculator for money friends already agreed to share. It does not move money, connect to a bank, or offer any financial service or advice.

What’s new

Three fixes, all found by using the app on a real phone.

• A half-typed expense is no longer thrown away without asking. Press back with something entered and the app checks first.
• The New group button now announces itself properly to TalkBack, instead of nothing at all.
• Removed a strip of empty space under the settle-up list, so all the payments fit on one screen.
