works great, but can be slightly slower with smaller codes so have to bring it much closer to the camera but otherwise reconises the right type of code well and consistently. Its a shame this app is rated so low,its probably because people possibly arnt getting the camera to focus on the codes correctly, you then have to hold it for a few seconds.

Does actually scan data matrix if you have it oriented the right way but it's not nice to use. Took a while to read it. You can either web search or share the result to another app but the interface is basic and clumsy

Seems to work well. To answer the main critical review: you don't choose the type of code, it shows it to you once you've scanned. Try directly to scan the code using the yellow button and it should say "Format: ***" afterward.
