Composer Quiz is a free app that consists on guessing the names of the most known classical composers.

The rules of Composer Quiz: Find the composer's surname. Take a look at his photo, press the music button to listen seconds of his music tune in order to identify him. If you do not recognize him, try to find the next one. 42 composers are categorized in 4 periods (Baroque, Classical, Romantic, 20th Century). After each correct answer, you will be able to read a short biography and listen to the sample of the composer's musical piece as many times as you want. The app can be played offline, no internet connection is needed.

Ratings and reviews

PRO: 1. U either need previous knowledge of composers to answer a single question correct or need to be willing to go out & research them. This extra push makes u want to learn more about the composers and their music. 2. Also u are force to spell each composers name accurately in order to pass. CON: There are 2 setting buttons with no writing to state what they are for. I twiddled them and lost my entire game and all music ceased to play. They should be labeled.

Poorly written bios, not enough composers particularly in the 20th century. Music examples don't work. It was kind of fun to play but more work needs to go into it.

I like the Fun... But it is impossible for beginners...without pre-study... Of composers. Thanks for the FREE App:-)
