About this app

AirWeather — decoded METAR, TAF and NOTAM for pilots, and the only aviation weather app that never shows you old weather without telling you.

Most aviation weather apps will happily show you a five-hour-old METAR and say nothing. AirWeather won't. Every METAR and TAF is time-validated against the source before it reaches your screen — anything that can't be verified is rejected rather than shown, and anything past 75 minutes is flagged EXPIRED. Go offline and you still get your last data, clearly marked as stale. You always know exactly how fresh your weather is.

Decoded weather for every METAR-reporting airport worldwide — 6,700+ stations, in plain language or raw.

Free & no account required:
• METAR and TAF, raw or fully decoded — down to remarks, RVR and trends
• Flight rules at a glance — VFR, MVFR, IFR, LIFR, colour-coded
• Your whole route, go / no-go — with a 2/4/6-hour outlook on every airport
• Weather trend charts that continue into the TAF forecast
• D-ATIS, runways with a best-runway suggestion, and frequencies
• E6B flight computer, pre-filled from the airport's live weather
• Density altitude and freezing level
• Daylight and twilight times
• Nearest-airport lookup by GPS
• Weather map with live winds and colour-coded aerodrome symbols
• Home screen widgets — small, medium and large

AIRWEATHER PRO — unlock once and it's yours forever, or start with a low monthly:
• Personal weather minimums — set your own caution and warning thresholds for wind, gusts, visibility, ceiling and density altitude, and see at a glance when a field crosses them
• SIGMET and AIRMET, decoded — as a nearby list and on the map
• Unlimited favourites

AirWeather is built and flown by a private helicopter pilot in the Swiss Alps. It exists because he needed a briefing app that never quietly shows old weather — and the pilots he flies with needed it too. Every feature, from personal minimums to density altitude, comes from real mountain flying.

Try it today — decode your home field in seconds.

Weather data: NOAA Aviation Weather Center. Aerodrome data: OurAirports.

Never use AirWeather as your sole source of aviation weather information. Always obtain a proper pre-flight briefing from the official meteorological and NOTAM sources for your country. AirWeather is not affiliated with or endorsed by NOAA, the FAA, or any government agency.
Decoded METAR, TAF & NOTAM. Always tells you how fresh the weather really is.
