Remember the days when there was still an element of surprise when it comes to dating? Probably not, because we asked you a trick question. But you might have heard stories from your parents about how dating was in the 20th century.

Today it’s all the same. Most apps and websites are based on physical attractiveness and very few focus on blind dating.

Well, we’re on a declassified mission to combat this by ensuring we live by the celebrated maxim that one shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. We also threw the element of surprise into the mix. Oh - and the element of gamification.

Exciting, right? We’re pretty sure you’re curious to see who you will meet. You're probably also wondering how it works.

BLIND DATING. REINVENTED.
1. Blindlee will initiate a call with someone matching your criteria. If the person answers it will start a three minute blurred video call with easy ice-breakers.

FEMALE-FRIENDLY.
2. During the three minute video call, women control the blur.

MATCH. CHAT. CHILL.
3. If both of you liked the three minute video call, it goes into a chat so you can take things from there and maybe even meet up.

Our mission has only recently been declassified and it is rising in public interest. But you can still share it with your friends because we thrive on the public eye. The more people on Blindlee, the more potential matches for everyone. Or as you would say: “the more, the merrier” (another maxim we live by).

Last but definitely not least - make sure to tell us once you’ve experienced that love is really blind because we love success stories. We print them and hang them up in our office for everyone to see.

Interesting idea, should start blurrier. It kicks you out of the call after the timer ends, would have been nice to know that before it happened (or just not do it at all). It was also unclear that only the girl can reduce blurriness. Only 3 or 4 people repeatedly matches with me so it's very time sensitive when you choose to use the app. Neat concept, execution needs a lot of polish

Every single call the other person doesn't answer. Haven't talked to anyone on here with over 20 attempts worldwide. Thought it was about having 2 people searching at the same time and getting paired, but it looks like people just get a notification on their phone? If that's the case I haven't gotten any blind calls in the month or so I've had this on my phone. If anyone is actually still using this it shouldn't be pairing with inactive users.

Before I bash on the app, let me say it has three things going for it. One, it's ease of use. It's just one push to try and start a call. Two, the concept is amazing. You don't have to worry about appearance on the first call, just be yourself. Three, thelack of ads on this app is such a nice refresher comparing it to other apps. However that's all this app has going for it, tried for 40ish minutes not a single person picked up. Not sure how it works, but frankly I'm not keeping it installed.
