Ratings and reviews

This app does not work. I've tried on my phone and my tablet and I cannot actually use it. Downloads start at 10% and never progress past that. EDIT: I tried downloading a story that was at the wrong level and that worked, but I still cannot download the correct story. App also put me in the wrong language even when signing in with an account that was already learning the right one on another device. And anything you do it asks if you want to start a free trial. For a broken app.

I love this app. Great for passive learning and practice both listening and reading. Stories are short and bite-sized. You can pull out vocab you want to practice from them and make flash cards. Only thing is the app is kind of buggy. On some of the flashcards, the wrong audio file plays. The games are also kind of odd; you fill in one blank and then it immediately ends. I guess that counts as a game 🤷‍♂️? The end of the audio for a story sometimes seems to cut off the last part of a word.

Select a word to translate provides the translation, but I can't play the word individually nor can I use the microphone to check my pronunciation. It keeps saying ”No detectable audio" immediately. It's weird that it can read the story in its entirety but it can't read individual words when selected. The stories are nice, but I want to be able to hear single words and sentences and have the ability to read them back myself to gain proficiency. This is where the app falls short.
