The meaning of Qurbani and some masala
Sacrifice is a very virtuous act. There is a hadith, narrated from Hazrat Zayd Ibn Arqam (R.), he said, the Companions asked, O Messenger of Allah, what is the sacrifice? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: It is the Sunnah of your father Ibraaheem (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). Sahabaye Kiram again asked, what is the welfare of us? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, 'Each of them has a virtue in exchange for its fur.' You sacrifice fat fresh animals. Because these will be your vehicles in Pulsirat (Ibn Majah).
In another hadith narrated by Hazrat Ayesha (RA), Rasulullah (SAW) has said, the best deed of the son of Adam on the day of Eid is to sacrifice. The sacrificer will appear on the Day of Resurrection with the horns, hair and bones of the sacrificed animal. Undoubtedly, before the blood of an animal sacrificed for the purpose of sacrifice falls on the ground, it is accepted in the court of Allah. (Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah)
Of course, there is a special condition for the sacrifice to be accepted in the court of Allah. And that is - the intention of the sacrificer must be pure. The main purpose of the sacrifice should be fear of Allah and His satisfaction. According to the Qur'an, only sacrifices made on the basis of taqwa are accepted.
