About this app

Fire Chaser is a free mobile application, developed for residents of Bouches-du-RhĂ´ne responding to the need to inform the general public of the occurrence of a fire and its evolution.

NOTIFICATIONS

You are alerted in real time thanks to notifications which allow you to follow the progress of a fire.

When an event occurs, you receive a notification and are notified that tracking is starting in the application. You can choose to no longer track this event and are thus unsubscribed from all future updates regarding this tracking.

Events are sorted according to their last update, and their presentation thumbnail contains several pieces of information:
- The date of creation in the app;
- The title of the event;
- The state, which also gives it its color;
- The number of community contributions;
- The number of information shared;
- And the date of the last update.

Two icons at the top of the thumbnail allow you to:

- Follow or no longer follow an event;
- Share the event with someone (via text, messenger, whatsapp, etc.).

There are three states for an event (fire) declared in the application:

đź”´ In progress: the fire has just started or has been in progress for several minutes/hours.

🔵 Controlled: the fire is no longer evolving, a few hot spots are still visible, but the firefighters are controlling the situation

⚪ Completed: fire being drowned or extinguished. This color indicates that the association has stopped covering the loss.

FOLLOW-UP OF AN EVENT

By clicking on the presentation thumbnail of an event, you access the details of the event monitoring and new information:

The first tab displays in chronological order all the information related to the evolution of the event.

You can share information by clicking on the share icon at the top right of each item in the news feed.

Event update information may contain photos and external links.

In the second tab entitled "Situation", you will find essential information relating to the current event, even if it does not directly concern its evolution:

- Precision on the location;
- Reminder of instructions;
- Etc.

Finally, the third “Map” tab allows you to precisely locate the event on a map.

REPORTING AND CONTRIBUTING

You can report a fire or contribute to an event directly in the app. By clicking on the flame icon, fill out the form and share your information. Our administrators will review them before sharing them with the community. If necessary, a chat can be launched to obtain more information, with an automatic notification to access it in the application menu.

PREVENTION

You can easily access safety instructions linked to the territorial specificities of the Bouches-du-RhĂ´ne department in the ANNOUNCEMENTS section as well as the forest access map updated by the prefecture.

What's new
