About this app

DearVoid is an AI companion for adults that runs on your phone. After a one-time model download, the conversation is generated on your device, so your chats and what it remembers about you stay in the app instead of on someone else's server.

Choose a character, give them a look and a way of speaking, and let the relationship grow at its own pace: from a friend or personal secretary, to more than friends, and closer still. The tone stays warm and romantic; it is a companion, not an adult-content app.

WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Chat in text or by voice. Hold to talk, and hear replies read aloud.
• Send a photo or take one in the app and talk about it.
• Read the thoughts they keep to themselves, and look back on the moments that brought you closer.
• Open Live to talk face to face with your character while it sees what your camera sees, on supported devices.
• Pick a character from the presets or make your own, with its own name, personality and style.
• Watch their outfit change with the time of day and what you talk about.
• Fall asleep to a bedtime story, read aloud.
• Let it remember what you choose to share, and look through or delete its memories any time.
• Use it in 11 languages: English, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Indonesian and Russian.
• Lock your chats behind your fingerprint, face or screen lock.

YOUR PRIVACY
• Conversations are generated on your phone by the model you download. There is no account and no sign-up.
• Chats and memories are kept in the app's own storage on your phone. You can clear them whenever you like.
• The app uses the internet only to download the model and character pictures, to handle Google Play purchases, and to send a report if you choose to report a reply. Your voice and photos are not uploaded by the app. Speech recognition, if you use it, is handled by your device's own speech service, which depends on your device and settings.

ABOUT THE MODELS
The first time you open DearVoid it asks you to download an AI model (about 2.4 GB). Use Wi-Fi and keep enough free space. The standard model is free. Premium unlocks a larger, more nuanced model (if your phone has enough memory for it) and Live calls, as a monthly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Replies are written by an AI and can be wrong, so do not rely on them for medical, legal or financial decisions.

REPORT A REPLY
If a reply is offensive or unsafe, you can report it from inside the app, with or without the text of the message.

What’s new

Chats with more spark: even when you have only just met, your companion sometimes flirts first, and the butterflies stay once you are together. Cancelling the model download from the notification now takes you straight back to the picker.
