About this app

With Foobar Link you can controll a foobar player with your Android smartphone or tablet.
To use the app, you must add the Beefweb Remote Control component (foo_beefweb) to your foobar installation.
The main features are:
- Choose any of your playlists
- See the details of the currently playing track
- Start a different track
- Design the layout of the playlist and the player view
- Add tracks from your music library

Good app, but there is an issue where if the app is running and an album switches, the cover art does not always change. I find this is for sure repeatable when switching albums within the same artist, and also seems to happen when there's items in foobar's queue. Would love if the Dev could look into this, as I use F "now playing" device on an old phone, and when cycling through albums it appears to be on the same one for many tracks. Thank you!

nice on paper, fast, loads covers relatively fine. however.. crashes maybe every 30 seconds. pretty unusable for that reason.. hey there, saw you responded. it seems to be stable for most.. I'm on foobar2k 2.0. could be why for all I know. doesn't matter the playlist size, it could be two songs long and still crash

Excellent app for controlling our whole house audio! 18 years ago we put in whole house audio we bought through Home Theater Direct. We have never looked back. It is fabulously superior sound and offers multitudes of inputs to play through the whole house. Foobar2000 was always running on one of our computers and now it is an input that plays every song we have ever downloaded! This app allows great control from our phones! Thank you for writing a wonderful app. My Apple wife is so jealous!

What’s new

Custom fields
In addition to the standard track information, foobar Link now supports custom fields.
These fields are automatically transferred to the app, shown in the detail view, included when filtering, and can be used in custom layouts.
Custom fields are defined in Settings → “Custom fields”.
