Declare Bible uses Android’s AccessibilityService API to power Focus Shield, also known as Prayer Lock.

Focus Shield is an optional feature that helps you pause, pray, and declare God’s Word before opening distracting apps. The AccessibilityService API allows Declare Bible to detect when an app you selected for Focus Shield is opened, then show the Prayer Lock screen before you continue.

What we access:
We access the name of the app currently opened, only so we can know when one of your selected blocked apps has been launched.

What we do not do:
We do not read what you type.
We do not read your messages.
We do not capture your screen.
We do not access your passwords, payment information, or personal content inside other apps.
We do not sell this data or share it with third parties.

You can turn off Accessibility access at any time in your phone settings. You can also turn Focus Shield on or off inside Declare Bible whenever you choose.
