FOCUS SHIELD & ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE

Deeply Focus uses Android's Accessibility Service to power Focus Shield, our optional app-blocking feature.

How it works: When you start a focus session with Focus Shield turned on, the Accessibility Service detects which app is currently in the foreground. If that app is one you chose to block, Deeply Focus displays a full-screen reminder over it so you can return to your session.

What it accesses: Only the package name of the app currently in the foreground, and only while a focus session is actively running.

What it does NOT do: Deeply Focus does not read, collect, log, store, or transmit screen content, text you type, passwords, messages, contacts, or your app usage history. No data from the Accessibility Service ever leaves your device or is shared with anyone.

This permission is completely optional and off by default. The timer, planner, statistics, focus rooms and every other feature work fully without it. You can disable it at any time in Android Settings > Accessibility > Deeply Focus.
