About this game

Defense.io is a top-down tank survival game where every wave of enemies is a little stronger than the last — and so are you.

Take command of a tank and defend your base against relentless, escalating waves of enemies. Kill them for resources, spend those resources to arm up between fights, and dig in as the pressure keeps climbing. How many waves can you survive?

ARM YOURSELF
Start with a single barrel and unlock your way through a deep weapon tree with over 20 guns — parallel barrels, wide fan spreads, homing rockets, bouncing ricochet shots, a hook that reels enemies in for a melee finish, spinning blades, even a vortex cannon that catches enemy bullets and hurls them back. Every branch plays differently — pick the one that matches your style.

CHOOSE YOUR HULL
Eight hull types change how your tank handles the fight: a berserker that hits harder the lower your HP drops, a shield that blocks incoming fire from the front, reactive plates that shrug off hits, a kamikaze built entirely around ramming, and more.

BUILD YOUR DEFENSE
It's not just about your own tank. Place turrets, walls, and gates around your base, upgrade them on the fly, and even build drone hangars that automatically collect resources or patch up damaged structures — all without leaving the fight.

PROGRESS BEYOND ONE RUN
Rare cores drop from tough enemies and bosses and carry over between runs forever. Spend them in a permanent meta-shop to unlock guns, hulls, and buildings for good — building up your arsenal run after run, even after a loss.

Simple to pick up, deep enough to keep building toward: survive the waves, upgrade everything, and see how far you can push it.
