About this game
Unroll the scroll. Walk the ink.
Swipe up to step through a hand-painted Korean ink scroll while a flood of ink creeps down from above.
Swipe too fast and you trip. Too slow and the ink swallows you. Find the rhythm.
HOW TO PLAY
• Swipe up to walk, swipe down to step back
• Push too hard and you stumble, so keep an eye on the speed gauge
• Graze hazards for "Close!" combos and big points
• Grab coins to unlock new walkers and paper
FOUR SEASONS
The season changes every 500 ft, and so do the hazards:
• Spring: seal stamps, brush strokes and ink snakes
• Summer: ink rain and puddles
• Autumn: gusts that shove you along
• Winter: ice that will not let you stop
FOUR FOLKLORE BOSSES
Every 1,000 ft a legend blocks the road, each with its own rule:
• Tiger, straight out of Korean magpie-and-tiger paintings: it is right behind you. Keep walking.
• Totem (jangseung), the village guardian: freeze when it turns to look. Red light, green light!
• Nine-Tail Fox (gumiho): back off when the foxfire flies
• Imugi, the serpent that never became a dragon: slip through the gaps in its coils
Every lap, they get meaner.
DAILY SCROLL
• The same map for every player in the world
• One ranked attempt per day, unlimited practice after that
• Earn coins for every daily ranked run, plus a bonus for a 7-day streak
• A new scroll unrolls every day at 00:00 UTC
LEADERBOARDS
• Google Play Games leaderboards (today, this week, all time)
• Sign-in is optional. Every mode is playable without it
MAKE IT YOURS
• 5 walkers: Wanderer, Scholar, Reaper, Haechi and Dokkaebi
• 4 papers: Ink Wash, Blue & White, Folk Art and Gold Leaf
SOUND
An adaptive gugak chiptune built from janggu drums, gayageum and piri. The rhythm shifts with every season, and a heartbeat quickens as the ink closes in. Haptics included.
FAIR PLAY
• Free to play: every mode and every boss is included
• Between-run ads appear at most once every 3 runs, at least 2 minutes apart, and never in your first session
• Revive by watching an ad or spending coins you earned (once per run)
• Double-coin ads are always optional
• Remove Ads turns off between-run ads for good, and gives you revives and double coins with no ads
• Coin Doubler permanently doubles the coins from every run
• Every walker and paper except the Dokkaebi Pack can be bought with coins you earn in play
• Your daily ranked attempt can never be bought
