Simple Weather USA – Local NOAA/NWS Weather Forecasts

Check the weather quickly with a clean, visual forecast powered by data provided by NOAA and the National Weather Service.

Simple Weather USA focuses on the information you need most: current forecast conditions, temperature, daily highs and lows, chance of rain, wind, and the forecast for the coming days. No crowded dashboards, complicated charts, or unnecessary weather layers.


Clear local weather forecasts

The main weather screen gives you an easy overview of:

• Detailed National Weather Service forecast conditions
• Temperature for the selected forecast period
• Daily high and low temperatures
• Precipitation probability
• Wind speed and direction
• Forecast update time
• Weather data source
• Forecasts for the next several days

Swipe through the forecast or use the time selector to move between days and forecast periods.

Detailed NWS descriptions are preserved, so useful forecasts such as changing conditions during the day are not reduced to a single generic weather label.


Weather pets that react to the forecast

Make checking the weather a little more fun with animated weather pets.

Your selected pet reacts to sunshine, clouds, rain, thunderstorms, snow, fog, wind, heat, and cold. As you move through forecast periods, the character changes with the expected weather.

You can turn weather pets on or off at any time and choose from several characters. Some additional pets can be permanently unlocked through optional rewarded ads.


Find and remember your locations

Search for weather forecasts across the United States:

• Search cities and towns by name
• Select a location from the map
• Use your current location when permission is enabled
• Save frequently checked places as favorites
• Switch locations with a single tap
• Automatically remember the last forecast you viewed

Location access is optional. You can always search for places manually without enabling geolocation.
