Dela is the app that brings together the user-friendly format of social media while offering the privacy benefits of group texts and emails. Think of it as a private group messaging app with a social media interface.

Dela users join private groups where they can post photos, videos, and written messages, and then comment on the posts shared by others. Dela groups also have a shared calendar used to track important dates and plan group events.

All groups are private. No personal data is collected by the developer, other than a user's email address which is needed for a username. There are no algorithms determining what content users see. Dela users simply see the posts made by others within their private group, in chronological order of when it was posted.

If you prefer an ad-free experience, you can subscribe to our ad removal service, which is available on a yearly basis. It's important to note that even if you choose not to subscribe, you will still have full access to all features and content within the application.

At first it was great but now I can't even get into the app. Every time I click on it, it sends me to a loading screen and it stays like that. before that happened, it kept logging me out. I really liked it when it worked at first though, I hope these things get fixed because I'd like to be able to use it. edit: it's working now! I'm pleased and I hope it'll stay like that

App crashes every time I open. Saw this on a local news story got excited, thought it could benefit both sides of my family. Installed it tried to open it keeps crashing. At this point I have never been able to actually get into the app cuz it just keeps crashing and crashing

**I spoke to the Dela team and a new version is awaiting approval that fixes the crash on Android 13, but I found a workaround. Simply manually approve the permissions in its app settings and then relaunch.** Our family got a group running today and so far I really like it. Dela organizes conversations into posts in a Facebook style experience without everything I don't want or need from Facebook, and not a pile of SMS/chat groups. I like the scheduled posts feature as well, very cool.
