Frost has the potential to be good, but it has some glaring flaws that ruin the experience. I cannot recommend buying it in its current state. From a game design standpoint, the biggest flaw is that it's a deckbuilding game that doesn't let you view the contents of your deck. The game's instructions literally say that "a primary skill is to remember resources are in your deck." While the game does provide an optional onscreen resource counter to relieve the tedious burden of tracking all your cards, this feature isn't available in most game modes. It should be available in every mode, and realistically the deck shouldn't be hidden either. Memorizing your cards isn't challenging or fun, it's annoying busywork that ruins the otherwise enjoyable strategic gameplay. From a software design standpoint, Frost is straight up buggy. It crashes on game over roughly half of the time. Taps sometimes lag or fail to register, and the visual feedback makes it difficult whether your input is lagging or has simply failed. There is also an issue with certain custom game settings that makes them effectively unplayable. If the game fixed these issues then I'd have no problem recommending it.

One of my very favorite apps. I originally got the game on the PS4, and was ecstatic to find it in the app store so that I can take it with me on the go. A wonderful, simple deck-building game with solid mechanics, minimalist art, and a variety of gameplay challenges. I hope to see more games from this developer in the future.

It's very beautiful, but still buggy. When I try to get charged charisma I get nothing, the upgrade of the traveller doesnt't work... Bugs that destroy the experience and they should not exist on a game with this price.
