About this app

TTS2Web is an innovative local Android Text-to-Speech (TTS) service tool designed for book lovers and reading enthusiasts.

It intercepts speech output from your system or reading apps and converts spoken text in real time into beautifully formatted local Web pages. Simply open a browser on a PC, Mac, iPad, tablet, e-ink device, or any other display on the same Wi-Fi network to enjoy a comfortable, big-screen reading experience complete with tap-to-turn pagination!

🌟 Key Features

[Cross-Device Web Reading]
Start speech synthesis in a reading app on your phone, then instantly view synchronized text in a browser on your PC, iPad, or smart display.

[Standard System TTS Engine Integration]
Operates as a standard Android TTS engine. No complex setup required—just select TTS2Web in your device's System TTS settings or reading app.

[Lightweight LAN Web Server]
Includes a fast, built-in HTTP server (default port 7788 with automatic port failover). All data transfers remain strictly within your local area network (LAN)—no cloud uploads, fully offline-capable, and private.

[Highly Customizable Layout & Formatting]
Customize page calculation parameters including measurement width, font size, lines per page, line height, and CSS styling for perfectly paginated pages tailored to your eyes.

[Smooth Tap-to-Turn & Smart Caching]
Enjoy classic tap navigation on the web reader (tap right for the next page, tap left for the previous page). Built-in multi-page caching ensures instant, seamless page flipping.

[Reliable Background Service]
Supported by a foreground notification service to ensure your local TTS server runs continuously in the background without being interrupted by the system.

[Multiple Layout Profiles]
Create, save, and switch between custom formatting profiles anytime to match various screens and reading environments.

📖 How to Use

1. Grant Notification Permission: Allows the background TTS server to run stably and display status notifications.
2. Configure Server Port: Set your preferred server port (default 7788; automatically switches if occupied).
3. Adjust Layout Settings: Choose or create a profile, configure measurement width, font size, lines per page, and line height, then tap "Save Current Settings".
4. Select TTS Engine: In System TTS settings or inside your favorite reading app, choose TTS2Web as the text-to-speech engine.
5. Start Reading & Browsing: Begin speech playback in your reading app, then open the displayed IP address (e.g., http://192.168.1.x:7788) in any browser on the same Wi-Fi network.

🔒 Privacy & Security

1. Local Processing: All text conversion and Web server operations take place locally on your device and local network. TTS2Web never collects, stores, or uploads your reading text or personal reading data.
2. Ads & Compliance: This app integrates Google AdMob and UMP privacy consent components, which may collect non-personal device identifiers solely for ad serving and compliance diagnostics in accordance with Google's Advertising Privacy Policy.
