About this app

Katix is ​​the mobile application for the card reader-based elevator floor authorization device used in hotels.

When a guest scans their card, the elevator buttons for their floor and common areas such as restaurants and terraces permitted by the hotel are activated. Access to specific floors can also be determined for staff cards.

With this application, you can perform the initial setup of the Katix device and configure your hotel's floor and card authorizations.

• Define floors, common areas, and relay connections for elevator buttons.
• Determine floor authorizations for guests, staff, and other supported cards. • Set card validity rules and button activation times. • Use the same settings for multiple elevators or configure each device separately.
• Share administrator and staff authorizations offline via QR code or file.
• Back up and restore device settings and use them in the setup of another device.
• Manage device date/time and communication settings. • Download compatible firmware updates to your phone and transfer them to a nearby device.

The application works via Bluetooth near the device. An internet account or internet connection is not required for initial setup and daily settings. The internet is used for online functions such as checking for and downloading software updates.

Requires a Katix device. Authorization from the relevant business is required to access an installed device. NFC and card service features depend on phone compatibility and service authorization.
