Learning words and writing them favors vocabulary enrichment. This practice helps not only those who are at the beginning of learning, but for those, in adulthood, who have some difficulty in writing. And that's what our Word Dictation application seeks, encouraging the user to a constant writing practice that leads him to easily memorize words ranging from the easiest and everyday use to the most difficult and unknown.
Word Dictation app is an easy-to-use, multi-featured tool that can be used by both children and adults. It consists of listening to the pronunciation of the word, which will be dictated by a computerized voice, and then writing the word correctly in the indicated field. Then just confirm. If you can't understand the dictated word, we have three tips to help you understand. The first tip is button 1 that says the number of letters. The second tip is button 2 which says some letters the word contains. And the third tip is the button with the letter R that says the complete word. You can also skip to the next word on the button with the letter P.
In the field where you put the answer, you have the option to listen to the pronunciation of the word you wrote, in the speaker on the left side, and compare it with the dictated word to see if they are the same. On the right side is the number of letters of the word you wrote.
In the settings it is possible to change the tone and speed of the voice that is dictating the words, in order to facilitate listening. We have over 50,000 words available in our database, and you can choose the types of words you want to train, as well as the number of letters the word should contain.
In the “Filter” field you can choose the minimum and maximum number of letters in the word. In the field “Contains” it is possible to choose what the word should contain, for example: words with RR, SS, CH, NH, LH and much more. In this way, it is possible to choose between just one filter, or several if you prefer. To choose the words, just put the filter you want separated by a comma. The same goes for the “Exclude” field where you must put everything you don't want to appear. You can make numerous combinations of filters and suit your needs well.
There are two bonus filters to use that further narrow down your searches. If you place the % symbol before what you want to filter, example: %CH only words with RR will appear at the beginning and if the symbol is placed at the end, example ÃO% only words with ÃO at the end will appear.
You can also access the meaning of words you don't know yet. By clicking on the word you will be directed to an internet page where you will find its meaning. That way you will learn not only the writing but also its meaning.
