In 1966 the United Bible Societies published the Bible Dios Habla Hoy in a Hispanic American version. The text that was revised periodically (1970, 1979, 1983, 1996) saw its first edition in Spain, in the Spanish version, in 1992 and was revised in 2002.
This translation that you now have in your hands is a medium literary level text that tries to get closer to the Spanish spoken in Spain “on the street” and in the media. With this same biblical text, the edition called Interconfessional Edition is also published, distinguished by the acronym DHH DC, which includes the deuterocanonical books at the end of the Old Testament, according to the Hebrew tradition, and before the New Testament.
