Many people with disabilities living under constant supervision spend a large part of the day alone, confined to bed.
RemoteTap with external control devices provide entertainment and communication during this passive period.
The device enables the user (who may not be able to speak or read) to look at pictures, watch videos or listen to music.
This is more than just reading a book, reading a newspaper or watching TV, as the process can be controlled by external buttons, so it not only provides passive entertainment but also requires user interaction.
The versatility of the application is provided by the Internet, which has a virtually unlimited number of images and videos (YouTube), organised by topic, download city images (Streetview) or listen to music.
It is also possible to receive voice and video calls (Skype, Viber etc.) with the buttons so friends and relatives can reach the user remotely and she/he can be an active participant in family life.
The application works on Android phone or tablet, but Android TV box is the primary platform, because it can be easily connected to external devices, e.g., infra remote controls, buttons, external monitor.
Because of the way it works, the app generates Internet traffic and keeps your Android device awake.
