I have to apologize for my earlier review. I said that changing the number of cells (squares) changes the degree of difficulty. Wrong! I should have Read That Fine Manual. Changing the size of the cells changes the size of the board, and clearly you can have more bombs on a larger board, but there is definitely a choice of degree of difficulty at each size. I hope I didn't mislead anyone.

I liked it, it's kinda hard to mess up a minesweeper game, but I've seen it done before. Took off 2 stars because it won't stay connected to Google Play, so I can't get achievements. As in, it disconnects my google play account every time I win a game. So far, it is ad-free though. Also, some minesweeper apps generate the mines before the game starts, which means you can tap on a square to start the game and instantly lose because there was a mine there. In this game, though, I haven't had that happen yet. EDIT: Excellent, thank you for fixing the issue! Rating adjusted accordingly.

Like the variety of difficulties you can choose, more options than other versions I've played. The one thing that prevents me from giving 5 stars is the flagging mechanism. The only option you have is to long click. However it's somewhat finicky and every now and then it misinterprets a flag and ruins a game. Wish they'd offer another option like a switch, which is what some other apps use.
