About this app

Moonfade is an on-device sleep timer for Android 8.0 and later. Wind down with music, podcasts, audiobooks, or video. Choose a duration and relax. When the countdown ends, Moonfade lowers media volume with your selected fade, then asks Android to pause playback.

Set your timer
• Choose any duration from 1 minute to 24 hours with the responsive dial.
• Start quickly with five presets: 15, 30, 45, 60, and 90 minutes.
• Follow the countdown in an ongoing notification.
• Add time, subtract time, or stop the timer from the notification.

Wind down your way
• Choose a fade duration from 0 to 60 seconds.
• Use the included Linear fade style.
• Keep dial haptics on or turn them off in Settings.
• Activate Android Device Admin before starting a timer so Moonfade can turn off and lock the display when it finishes. To remove this permission, turn off Turn off the screen in Settings before uninstalling. Starting another timer requires activation again.

Moonfade Pro is an optional one-time purchase through Google Play. There is no subscription. It unlocks:

Privacy and ads
Timer settings, preferences, customization choices, and cached Pro status are stored on your device. The free version may show ads through Google Mobile Ads. Where required, you can review applicable advertising privacy choices in Settings.

Media compatibility
Moonfade uses Android media-volume controls and audio focus when the countdown finishes. Playback behavior can vary by Android device and by the app playing media.

Purchases are processed by Google Play and can be restored with the Google account that made the purchase.

What’s new

Adds an optional “Share anonymous usage results” setting, off by default, to help improve timer reliability. It reports anonymous timer outcomes without player names or listening history. You can turn it off in Settings.
