Is it okay to pitch a tent today? Camssi is a camping weather app for Korea. It puts what decides a camping day — wind, rain, condensation and UV — ahead of temperature, and answers whether you can set up a tarp right now.

Save your trip dates and Camssi tells you whether to go before the free-cancellation deadline. Cancellation rules differ by campsite, so you choose how many days before.

■ A camping score with reasons
Wind, rain, condensation, UV, heat and hot nights go into one camping score. You also see what lowered it and what to watch when you pitch your tent and tarp.

■ A forecast that does not overpromise
0–3 days out is for deciding, 4–7 days is for planning, and from 8 days on we do not give a grade.

■ 3,000+ campsites across Korea
Search by region and facilities and compare today's camping conditions. Set a campsite as yours to see it first on Home.

■ Nearby places and tonight's sky
See sights and indoor places within 20 km of your campsite. When rain is forecast, indoor places come first. You can also check which constellations and moon you will see from the campsite that night.

■ A packing checklist that follows the weather
Items for rain, cold and wind are flagged, and checked items are remembered. Add your own under "My essentials", and share the list with your group.

■ Hourly and weekly forecast
See wind speed hour by hour to plan setup and pack-up, and a weekly forecast up to 16 days ahead.

■ Readable in sunlight
While the sun is up, the app switches to a bright screen for reading outdoors.

■ Camping weather guides
20 guides on condensation, wind, lightning, UV and more, in English and Korean.

■ Language
Camssi follows your phone's language (English or Korean), and you can change it in Profile > Language. Campsite names and addresses stay in Korean, as they appear on signs and maps. Weather alerts arrive at 7 AM and 8 PM Korea time and are sent in Korean for now.

Weather information is based on forecast data and may differ from conditions on site. Check official weather warnings and campsite notices as well.
