About this app

Have you ever dreamed of having a laboratory in your pocket? With DFIS-GO!, the whole world is your testing ground.

DFIS-GO! is a free and easy-to-use mobile app that transforms your phone into a powerful pocket lab. Designed to revolutionize the classroom and foster STEM inquiry, this tool lets you perform 2D video analysis and capture kinematic data of any moving object around you. Whether it's a ball flying in the yard, a skateboard on the street, or a classic lab experiment.

Ideal for students, teachers, and science enthusiasts looking to learn through hands-on experimentation.

KEY FEATURES:

Precise Capture and Selection: Open the camera directly from the app or select a video from your gallery. You can trim and select the exact segment you want to analyze, as well as adjust the frames per second (FPS) of your recording.

Intuitive Tracking: Track your moving object frame by frame. Easily configure your reference system (Origin) and measurement scale (Calibration) to obtain completely accurate data.

Automatic Data Tables: Forget about manual notation. The app instantly generates detailed tables with the number of points marked, showing the time t (in seconds) and the X and Y positions (in meters).

Interactive Graphs: Visualize the physical behavior of your object. Generate instant graphs by selecting multiple kinematic variables for the axes, such as position, velocity, and acceleration.

Comprehensive Mathematical Fits: Take your data analysis a step further. Apply mathematical models to your graphs by choosing from Linear, Quadratic, Cubic, Oscillatory, Exponential, or Power fits. The app calculates the resulting equation, the exact parameters, and the R² correlation coefficient for you. You can even enter the object's mass in kilograms to further enhance your analysis!
