DHC-6 Trainer is a study platform for de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter pilots — built for the revision you do the night before a sim session, a recurrent check or a line flight.
It does not replace your QRH. It makes the flow stick.
WHAT'S INSIDE
QRH AND PROCEDURES
109 normal, abnormal and emergency procedures for each airframe, G950 and Legacy, in the POH wording and order, in a clean, category-led library. Start at the memory items, then continue into the full procedure. Launch any procedure as a scored drill.
FLOW DRILLS ON THE REAL COCKPIT
Run a procedure against a drawn DHC-6 cockpit. Each step highlights the control it expects and will not advance until you find it. Legacy and G950 panels are both modelled.
MCC CALLOUTS
PF/PM call-and-response flows that drill the words, the sequence and the expected response, so crew coordination is automatic before you sit down in the box.
TECHNICAL LAB — INTERACTIVE 3D SYSTEMS
Interactive 3D models of the PT6A-27 engine, propeller, fuel, electrical, flap, pitot-static, hydraulic, landing gear and more. Numbered pins carry the component note, the cockpit consequence and an oral-exam prompt.
AI ORAL EXAM
Practise systems, limitations and QRH questioning against an examiner that follows up on your answer instead of reading from a list.
FLASHCARDS AND KNOWLEDGE
Limitations, speeds, systems and callouts in short active-recall sessions. System notes, diagrams, MEL references and definitions in one library.
CHARTS AND PLANNING
Chart calculators for all 29 AFM Section 5 performance figures and the Section 3, 4 and 9 charts, with the AFM tables as calculators. A fuel planner in pounds with per-tank low-level warnings, and a weight and balance load sheet with the CG envelope for wheels and floats. Training examples only — use the approved AFM for operational figures.
DEBRIEF AND LOGBOOK
Drill history, weak areas, score trends and overdue procedures, so your next session targets what you actually got wrong.
WHO IT'S FOR
Line pilots flying the Twin Otter who want recurrent prep that isn't re-reading a PDF. Pilots on a DHC-6 type rating course. Instructors and training captains running briefings and debriefs. Operators training their own crews on the type.
ANDROID, BROWSER AND WINDOWS
The same trainer runs on Android and in any modern browser, so you can revise on your phone between sectors and continue on a laptop in the briefing room. DHC-6 Trainer for Windows (Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit) is included with the Premium and Instructor plans. One account works everywhere.
SIGN UP FREE
Create a free account with your email: it opens a sample of every area, including all the normal procedures, four QRH drills, two Technical Lab models and the first cards of each flashcard deck. Premium unlocks the full trainer; Instructor adds editing and instructor tools. Subscribe in the app through Google Play, or at dhc6trainer.com for browser access — one subscription covers both. Operators: fleet licensing is priced per pilot for your whole training department — get in touch through the website.

IMPORTANT — TRAINING SUPPORT ONLY
DHC-6 Trainer is a study and training-support product. It is not an approved operational reference and it is not approved by, affiliated with or endorsed by De Havilland Canada, Viking Air or any aircraft manufacturer or regulator.
