Dhuku or Dhukuti is a simple money-lending game with little to no interest. In this game, close friends or relatives come together previously discussed time period (every month) and spin the wheel. To the cycle’s winner, everyone will grant a predetermined amount. As a result, the winner will get the lump sum. For example, in a cycle of 10 players, each individual (except the winner) is required to pay 1k, whereas the winner will get a total of 9k in that cycle. The next game will be played next month. Participants who have previously won will not take part in the next spin but are required to pay the future winners.
The wheel will be spun until every participant gets the chance to win. If previously agreed, a small amount of interest is paid to the winner every time. Let's say, the previous winners have to pay 1.1k, while participants yet to win have to pay 1k every month. And the last 3 winners can also get extra money, let's say the 3rd last winner gets 1.3k, the 2nd last winner gets 1.4k, and the last winner gets 1.5k for their services.
This “Dhuku / Dhukuti Game” app can be used without the hassle of the conventional methods, including having to write each participant's name on pieces of paper, folding them, and drawing the winner, or even a coin toss. The convenience of this app also allows users to participate while out and about, dining out in a restaurant, or online while travelling. You can use the app similarly for a lottery between small groups of friends.
In the Dhuku / Dhukuti Game app, all the participants should log in to the Dhuku / Dhukuti app using a Google account. Each user has to add other users via email ID to their contact list. Once the contact list is fully updated, one participant (creator/owner of the Dhuku / Dhukuti group) is required to add other participants to the Dhuku / Dhukuti group via the contact list. The maximum number of participants in each Dhuku / Dhukuti group is 30. The main participant can also add participants who have not logged in to the app.
After adding all the participants to the Dhuku / Dhukuti Game app, the owner can start the wheel (roulette), in which all the participants are selected by default. The wheel will rotate for approximately 30 seconds. The winner will be decided randomly from the list of participants.
Once the winner is decided, you can save the winner with the name and the win date in the winner's list. If you need to add a note about the Dhuku / Dhukuti, you can add it in the note tab. The note can be pinned if needed.
The main participants can share the Dhuku / Dhukuti group with the participants who have logged in to the app. To share the group, you need to go to the group and click on the share button in the top section. You can add a participant to the share list from your contact list and select the participant to whom you want to share. You can choose other participants as a viewer, editor, or owner for this group. These are the roles of each type of participant.
