Diamond Data PRO turns your batting order from a hunch into arithmetic.

Enter each hitter's on-base percentage and slugging percentage. The app evaluates the batting orders your roster can actually produce and returns the one with the highest projected run total — then explains, slot by slot, why each hitter landed where they did.

WHY THE ORDER MATTERS

A batting order is a sequence, and sequences multiply. Nine hitters can be arranged 362,880 ways. Twelve can be arranged 479,001,600 ways. Every one of those orders produces a different expected run total, because who bats in front of whom decides how often your best hitters come up with runners on base.

"Best average third, power fourth, weakest bat ninth" is a rule of thumb from an era when nobody could check it. Diamond Data PRO checks it.

WHAT IT WILL NOT DO

It will not invent offense that is not in your numbers, and it will not promise you a win. A projection is an expected value across many games; a single game is dominated by opposing pitching, defense and luck. What it does is stop you giving away runs to a sequencing decision made out of habit.

You also know things the numbers do not — a player back from injury, a kid who isn't ready to bat leadoff, a developmental reason to move someone up. Every slot can be overridden, and the projection updates so you can see the trade.
